Caregivers fail to meet children"s needs insecure attachment (avoidant or anxious) Secure attachments result in : lower cortisol when stressed, greater life satisfaction, sustained, stable relationships, more frequent positive emotions, providing social support to others. Anxious attachments result in greater susceptibility to : eating disorders, depression, drug and alcohol abuse (cid:158) kindness.
