Document Summary

The link between oxygen, exercise and body temperature: Whenever there is an increase body temperature, diffusion rates increase, and enzymatic reactions occur faster. Therefore: more oxygen is required to fuel pumps, reaction. When exercising, we do a lot of muscle contraction for which we need atp which is given by cellular respiration. Hence, cellular respiration has to increase and this process needs heat. Funny channels are sodium channels which open at a negative voltage (less positive mv than threshold). This causes voltage gated channels to open (both na and k). This is the auto rhythmic cell depolarization cycle. They open for a period time and then they close. When we look at the anatomy of the heart, we nd that the nodal cells are present in most places in the heart. The sa node is a cluster of these cells in the wall of the right atrium. This node is the pacemaker for each of us.
