Red cross: founded in switzerland because it was neutral; its agents can be neutral and therefore the emblem is the mirror image of a swiss flag. Since then muslim countries have overwhelmingly adopted the red crescent for this. There is no such thing there are 3 different organizations that together form international red cross: international committee of the red cross (icrc): a private humanitarian institution in switzerland. It has a 25- member committee and authority under international humanitarian law protects the victims of civil wars and international wars, inter conflicts etc. International law and its agent have immunity: international federation of red cross and red crescent society: founded in 1999 coordinates the activities of the national societies, national red cross and red crescent society: exist in all countries. This is a new development in il because il was initially was concerned only with subjects of international law.
