All people are storytellers who relate their experiences and the experiences of others in a narrative form. Storytellers are creators, reinforcers, and evaluators of public knowledge and values . Logos (reasoning, the arguments that we create through our symbols. They provide synecdoches or representative anecdotes for complex ideas/concepts (the story of one survivor during a mass shooting represents the story of all survivors) Use traditional models of cognitive processing to encourage engagement. They possess aesthetic qualities, more likely to be managed in our minds in terms of building connections. They appeal to emotions are reason- access to more routes of info in your brain. Encourage blending presentational and discursive elements, helps enhance memory. Material- physical item that makes you feel a connection (somebody wears attire from your same college/school or sports team)
