As omnivores, baboons primarily eat fruit, grass, seeds, bark, roots, birds and rodents (national geographic). Baboons also have a strong sexual dimorphism of having large white manes, and being large in size. They live in populations that range from about 300 baboons. In these populations baboons live within a strict hierarchical system. The system relatively goes; alpha male, dispersing male, mom and children, juveniles, and teens. The male baboons are allowed to mate with any female when it comes to mating. The main source of mortality right now for baboons is habitat loss (national geographic).
