You are the legislature every time you act. Always and inviolable law- kant means that the rule as well as the idea that the rules should Have to imagine a world in which everyone follows that rule and see if that rule would actually work or if it would undermine itself e. g. money lender (51) undermines the purpose of the premise. Imagine if someone else followed your rule, and see if you still say they should follow the same rule you are following e. g. help others (52) undermines own needs for help.
