Document Summary
Phil c1010: properties of god, omnipotent, omniscient, negator prefix incorruptible, infinite, immortal, properties seem to only apply to the catholic god, a-ghazali 99 names of god (islamic) Knowing these names brings us closer to god i: we have a grasp on finite, because we are finite; but we cannot grasp the concept of infinite iii. Anselm only concerns himself with the monotheistic god. Vague term would simply imply a degree of uncertainty i. ii. iii. Almost all properties have this problem of no bright line between what is and what isn"t. Right and wrong are also very thin terms. Existence as a property of not: declarative to assert something, assertoric i. ii. iii. iv. Indexical this is brown: predicates something of this. Existence would say something is is which is nonsensical: god is that which gives everything being i. ii. Seems to say existence is simply a result of god. Implying it is not a property of god him/her/itself.
