Dante says that on top of mount purgatory is the garden of eden. Traditionally, faith and reason have each been considered to be sources of truth and. There can be no conflict between the two reason properly employed and faith properly understoof will never produce contradictory or competing truths (aquinas) Faith and reason can (or even must) be in genuine contention over certain propositions or methodologies.
