External validity: the extent to which the findings generalize to other people, settings, Ivs and dvs: representative sample, replication, field experiments. Study of how people think/feel about themselves and the social world. How we organize, interpret, and remember the world. Automatic processing: low effort, automatic processing, unconscious, unintentional, effortless, involuntary. High effort, controlled processing: conscious, intentional, effortful.
