Chapter 5 and 6
Some of the people don’t know their difference between civil rights and civil liberties
that can be helpful to our daily life. Civil rights are citizenship rights that are guaranteed to the
people which are the amendments. They are also protected by the government and cannot be
taken away at all at any point. Compared to civil liberties they are individual freedoms guarantee
primary by the civil rights. There are many rights in the democracy which limits the government
to empower people meaning that the notion of natural rights and limited government was central
to the founders of America. There are also rights and the power of the people that citizens have
special protection and powers that allow them to protect themselves from the government.
However, when the rights conflict which is the moment when the. Rights of individuals are
pitted against the needs of society and demands. The conflicts start to get resolve. By the courts,
congress, president, and the people. There is a lot of things that separate the government from the
people which protects the people. There is also the freedom of religion because of the
separationist, accommodations and judicial ruling which separates the state and people religion
in order for them. To respect in what they believe and not everyone will have to be in which is
your choice. I personally agree with the separation of people’s beliefs with the state because not
everyone will believe the same thing and have religion that states everyone’s agrees therefore we
have the freedom to be who we are and choose what we would like to. We have the freedom of
expression which states that citizens have the right to have their voice heard which is very
symbolistic. Being able to have the right to speak with our own right of we like makes ourselves
comfortable because we know our thoughts will never have to be kept with us because nothing
will happen with our thoughts being said out loud because we are protected and are part of our
rights. All of the Bill of rights and Amendments protect us as people from the government which
give us our rights and protection from anyone who try’s take away our rights. The positive thing
about the amendments and the bill of rights is that they cannot be taken away from anybody
because they are the ones that protect us from the government which helps us be able to know
what the convenience for ourselves. Being able to separate state from religion brings a good
benefit to us because not everyone believes in the same thing, but we have different thoughts
that bring several for differences with the differences people may cause chaos having to follow
the same thing over and over again which would not be the best benefit. Since conflicts will be
resolved by the court, people, supreme, or other it can be a positive but negative out come to us,
The reason why I believe that it might be a positive outcome would be that the court would have
to hear our own part from the story and there would be people to witness and the judge would
hear and they would come into a consensus. However, the reason why I believe it can be a
negative outcome would be that the court, congress, president would all be part of the
government and they would come up with the same consensus together and agree which will not
help us because us the people would have a different point of view. We also, have protection for
the criminals due to process of law which is a guarantee law that will be fair and reasonable and
that citizens suspect of breaking that law will be treated fairly. We also have protection from the
fourth amendment which is protection from unreasonable search and seizure, the reason why this
law can benefit us is because we can also be accused of a crime and the police will like to search
us but unreasonable cause we have the fourth amendment to protect us and also if we are ever
accused of a crime being able to have someone o defend us can be a benefit. The reason why I
believe it can be a benefit would be because sometimes we won’t be able to afford someone to
defend us, but with someone who is already given can help us change the mindset of the judge
