Document Summary

A single cartridge of super 8 (s8) film contains 50 feet of film, equivalent to 3 minutes and 20 seconds or 200 seconds. Shown at 18 frames per second (fps) (standard s8 running speed) Be aware of focusing the lens and setting the proper f-stop: Depth of field - the area in front of the camera which is in focus. Use common sense when setting focus relative to distance. Always zoom in to focus, even if shooting will occur from a more zoomed out perspective. When shooting, you can only get as close as the lowest number on the focus ring. Out of focus is the same as soft focus (when done intentionally) Function stops (f-stops) represent the size of the aperture (the hole through which light enters the camera) 2, 2. 8, 4, 5. 6, 8, 11, 16 (standard range; can be wider but not lesser)
