As a friend, i have the responsibility of keeping my friend on the right path and seeing that she is doing well. The shared time and experiences amy had with hailey were important investments that fuel commitment. I don"t think amy did the right thing by directly stating that don is disrespectful and abusive. To directly say something negative about someone"s partners might often seem too harsh and might also not be the easiest thing to do. If i was her friend, i would try to first make her understand what it means to have a positive relationship. A positive relationship is rewarding and can often enhance each other"s quality of life. Each person is an active participant in helping create the other one"s positive future. After explaining the value of a positive relationship, i would try to make her understand what is lacking in her relationship with dan.
