Week 9: basic staisics, sets, soring, and indexing. Staisics: built in funcions to do staisical analyses. Mean: the average of numbers standard deviaion (std) and variance (var): determine the spread of the data. Mode: the number that appears most frequently in a data set returns the smallest number if more than one mode exists. Median: the number in the middle of a sorted data set returns the average of the two middle numbers in an even length data set. Set operaions: built in funcions for set operaions. The unique funcion: unique: returns the unique elements from a set. The setdif funcion: setdif: receives two vectors as input arguments and returns a vector consising of all values that are contained in the irst argument but not the second. Order of the arguments makes a diference. 0 0 0 1 1: issorted: returns logical 1 if the vector argument is sorted in ascending order and a 0 if not.
