Lorazepam (ativan): benzodiazepine: used in combination regimens as an adjunct therapy, helps control eps, helps control nausea, anti anxiety. Dronabinoal (marinol: therapeutic use: n/v associated with chemotherapy, appitite stimulant for pt w/ aids, adverse effects: dissociation, dysphoria, caution: pts with cardiac disease, slow onset of action, **related to cannibas- synthetic form. Prokinetic agents: increase tone and motility of gi tract therapeutic uses: n/v related to gastroparesis, gerd, post op, chemotherapy.
