Ability to learn, understand and make judgements or have opinions that are based on reason . Intelligence is what measured by intelligence tests - psychologist. Definition: the ability to learn from experience, solve problems, and use knowledge to adapt to new problems. Charles spearman: performed a factor analysis of different skills and found that people who did well in one area also did well in another. He speculated that these people had a high g (general intelligence) Savant syndrome having isolated islands of high ability amidst a sea of below-average cognitive and social functioning. Different intelligence factors tends to correlate with each other, and with a general level of intelligence. Success also correlates with hard work, connections, and the develop of expertise (10 year rule) Social and emotional intelligence: social intelligence: the ability to understand and navigate social situations, emotional intelligence; processing and managing the emotional component of social situations, including one"s own emotions.
