The device should be built using a standard mousetrap, usually about 4. 5 x 10 centimeters. The spring on the mousetrap should be the sole source of power. The car should travel a minimum of 50 feet. The springs on the mousetrap can be cut or bent but cannot be altered with heat treatment. Use of rubber bands, co2 boosters, or anything else for extra power is prohibited.
