For test be able to distinguish the different personality disorders. Cluster b personality disorders: they are egosintonic which means they are a part of the personality and they accept the problems. They are also dramatic- emotional personality disorders: antisocial personality disorder. Psychopathy: concept related to antisocial personality disorder and narcissistic personality disorder. 20-25% people that meet the criteria, but are not in prison: treatment: most don"t believe they need treatment , but the treatments attempt to control anger, impulsive behaviors, and develop empathy, borderline personality disorder: pervasive pattern of instability. Symptoms include : fear abandonment not including suicide or self-harm, unstable relationships, identity issues, impulsivity ( at least 2 areas). They lack self confidence as well as come manipulative: a contributor is relationship betrayal. Common for the person to have experienced rape or some kind of abuse: treatment: dialectical behavior therapy: helps regulate impulsive behavior, histrionic pd: excessive emotionality and attention seeking.
