He tried a variety of traditional medical treatments, then turned to bible study, hoping to be cured through faith. Deceased heard of through a mutual acquaintance, and turned to him for treatment. Described his method during the first meeting; drinking a unique lemonade, exposure to colored lights, and vigorous massage. He recommended deceased buy and read his book first, and if he still wished treatment, he would have to avoid contact with his physician. Deceased was told to drink the lemonade, salt water (!) and herb tea but nothing else for 30 days. Told lee that all was going well and to postpone a bone marrow test urged by his doctor. Lee then began experiencing severe pain in several areas, including his abdomen, with frequent vomiting.
