Document Summary

Introduction- introductions should include any information the reader needs to understand the thesis statement. This might include definitions of key terms, background information on the topic, explanations of issues, etc. There"s no one way to begin an essay. Thesis statement this is the main idea of the entire essay. It should contain the topic you"re working with along with your comment on it. It should typically appear at the end of the introduction. Body paragraphs body paragraphs elaborate on your thesis statement. They will contain the analysis of the items or issues necessary for you to get your main point across, whether that point is to convey information, to prove or defend a position, or to illuminate an issue. Try not to think of the reasons or issues you provide to support your thesis as contained in a single paragraph. Sometimes it takes more than one paragraph to fully analyze a point.
