Main scholars: foucault, r blieker, derderian, derrida. If we rely on the objectivity of observations, we could be mistaken in what we believe to be experience. If the verification of general scientific laws is a crucial element of the scientific approach, it is impossible to verify all cases related to those laws. It"s impossible to justify replacing one theory for another one, there is no neutral way to compare them. Power relationships and culture determine our theories. We filter new info through our biases and preconceptions and suppress conflicting information. The undetermination of theory by data : there will always be more than one theory consistent with the finite number of observations we can make (never can be sure our theory is the best) The principle of radical undetermination : the finite set of data available to us does not allow us on grounds of logic to eliminate alternative theories.
