Jargon in particular can have some benefits (e. g. more efficient, can show expertise, can appear more credible, etc. : use ambiguity strategically. If a message is ambiguous, the receiver is especially likely to clarify it for herself in a way which corresponds to her expectations. What are reasons why you would want to be more ambiguous: 1.
