There is a large difference between a home and a house. A house provides shelter but, where one resides, is not a home. Dakota, i currently find shelter in ames, iowa. To me, my dorm room is not a home. In my home, there is always time to ride around town. In my home, it is never too late for icecream and popcorn. In my home, there is always time to talk. In my home, owls are the best animals on the planet. But most importantly, my home is where my mom is. What makes my house a home is the woman who is strong and guides me towards greatness. Without her, many of my successes would not have become my greatest achievements. I knew that my dorm room would not be a home on the day my mom dropped me off for college.
