Is it leadership, decision making, and the implementation of work tasks: consequences of a manager"s decisions may have either a positive or negative effect o the manager, the mangers subordinates, and the organization, as well as other groups--stakeholders. Stakeholders have a vested interested in the future of the company: a stakeholder is not a shareholder -- but shareholders are stakeholders. Leading: influencing others activities to achieve a common goal: controlling: monitoring, evaluating, and maintaining desired performance. They can probably tell you about problems before they escalate: managers are not in touch with what is going on, on a daily basis, encourage employee feedback, makes them feel valued. Interacting with internal and external individuals: key component of being a successful manager. Government, passing info to subordinates, communicating product safety: decisional, decision are made, how to allocate the resources.
