Immerse yourself in the material until you are well versed in the issues (and this takes time) Incorporate information coming from a variety of sources. Decide on speech structure for your perspectives claim. Decide how many perspective you will talk about (2-3) and separate your original material into piles. Is in the form of a declarative sentence. Is shaped appropriately to the audience and constraints of your speech. *your claim is about the various perspectives you will explore: it is not taking sides among them.
