Interactive model communication is an interactive act, both parties have different fields of experience that overlap where they receive the message: weakness: doesn"t include nonverbal communication. Transactional model people are connected through communication, everyone is a sender and a receiver. Meaning conscious pattern humans create out of interpretation of experience. Mehrabian (1972) meaning comes from: 7% verbal, 38% facial expression, 55% paralanguage. Elements in message content and relationship. Aristotle on rhetoric art of persuasion, looking for truth. Sophists/rhetoricians come to teach, multiple truths.
