The creation of equal balance using variety in size, shape and space. This is often the visual desired balance. Relationships in design are harmonious; meaning they agree. A dissimilar duplication of styles, shapes, colors, type, etc. The arrangement of design elements that directs the eye through the composition; a sense of flow. A strongly regular repeated pattern that creates a sense of visual movement. Rhythm can be regular flowing or progressive. Alignment or orientation of elements to suggest directionality. Design elements to lead the eye into an area. Design elements arranged to suggest emanating from a single area. Create design differences through contrast, which creates levels of information and eye flow. Create an obvious starting point or center of attention that dominates the design. A dissimilar or irregular elements in a context of regularity.
