Prof. had a patient who loved to cook and one time she was cooking for her boyfriend and had a very graphic image of her stabbing her boyfriend and cutting him open. She had ocd and freaked out and was unable to forget this vivid image. Called her roommate and told her to get rid of all of the knives. Every time she saw something sharp she had this same image. This turned into seeing anything that could impale someone and would see graphic images of her impaling someone.
