Mnes should only work with local partners that follow high environmental and social standards. It is ok for mnes to bribe officials in host countries if local competitors do so. The goal of a company is to serve the interests of its of its shareholders. A company should also consider the interests of others affected by its activities (stakeholders) Conflicts among shareholders and other stakeholders should be resolved in favor of shareholders. Keeping all stakeholders happy is important for long-term success.
