Once peter was home he started talking to his friends & found out the husband didn"t beat his wife but surprised he admitted & apologized to something he didn"t do. He found instead had just been looking at a younger girl. Anthropologist was out the reason the action was taken against the husband because there was a lot invested in the wife & also with the younger woman he was interested in. The scenario had more to do with the concepts of marriage than him hitting his wife. There is often a disconnect between what people say & actually do. The article is a reminder to why anthropologists research the way they do. Goal was for her to write about the culture of prostitution & the workers.
