Document Summary
Shaped by highly precise movements of lips, tongue, and teeth. There have been studies that a child starts speaking in their native tongue regardless of the fact that they hadn"t been exposed to language. Hard to prove if this is true because most people won"t approve of a child being isolated. Because the words are so rare this theory is hard to be proven. A lot of words are abstract to their sounds, so this theory would not support this idea. The way the vocal tract is positioned is very different from humans. So they would able to make certain sounds but not form words. Their teeth are also positioned differently so they wouldn"t be able to articulate. Certain sounds require coordination and the right musculature to be produced. Smaller mouth lets our mouth move quicker and in a more efficient manner.
