Gentile"s taxonomy- helps teachers create environment for successful skill practice at individual skill levels. Two parts: the environmental context in which the skill takes place, regulatory conditions- either stationary or in motion. Regulatory conditions are objects or other people that are in the environment. The conditions regulate how a person must adapt to be successful in the move. **when identical tasks are blocked together instead of different tasks, the post-performance was worse. Interference in performance and learning that is the result of practicing one task in the context of other tasks: a phenomenon in which more interference during practice leads to better learning than less interference. There is an immeasurable, continuous amount of interference that can be created by practicing a variety of a skill within the context of practice. Low ci in practice, better practice, worse test. High ci in practice, worse practice, better test. Elaboration hypothesis- the elaboration of the memory to perform skill.
