Document Summary
Development- refers to long-term personal changes that have multiple sources and multiple effects. The difference between learning and development is a matter of degree. Dev is growth over a certain amount of time whereas learning is more current. A question of time is the difference between development and learning. It will be easy to notice student"s diversity. Expectations will be different based on their age in development. It is important to have a sense of students" health related to their age or maturity, if only to know who many become ill, and with what illness, and to know what physical activities are reasonable and needed. Development of motor skills: self-consciousness and self- esteem issues develop. Health and illness: young children tend to get more sick than adults do since they have weaker immune systems and they are constantly exposed to other children, as students get older, illnesses become less frequent.
