Always suspicious of husband, and for good reason. Anger is usually vented at zeus"s partners: identified by crown, royal staff (like zeus), peacock. Guard so zeus can"t keep coming back to io. Hermes, argos, and io: zeus feels bad for io and orders hermes to help the cow, hermes kills argo after lulling his eyes to sleep with music. Hermes argeiphontes: the killer of argos : io is allowed to escape, hera takes all the eyes from argos"s body and sets them into her favorite bird. Etiological myth: why peacocks look as they do; why they are symbol of hera. Children of zeus and hera: eileithyia.
