A theory of making and a theory of where the voice comes from. Communications (the background is linguistics in terms of one simple idea: who speaks) One of the problems with film is that the narrative sense is built up by montage and synchronicity. The one way of doing film is to have no breakages between the time frames and to go out of your way to make it appear realistic. For example, when have to explain a problem in the film, can"t film the problem. The idea of speech suggests a problem in film. This is during the women"s writing era. Women tended to film more of their own personal histories so they would film more intimate, personal films instead of action and gang films.
