Document Summary

Lab 6: investigating the molar volume of a gas. October 22, 2018: our theoretical yield was . 000576 moles of dihydrogen. In trial one we obtained . 000532 moles and in trial 2 we obtained. 00049. There is a difference between the set of data because the average standard molar volume is under ideal conditions such as 273 degrees kelvin and 1 atmosphere of pressure. In our experiment, we did not have these conditions as controls when testing the reaction. This can lead to improper calculations when using information obtained from logger pro causing inaccurate data. Also, the gas pressure sensor can easily be a source of error if not in place.
