Dorsal visual stream- this portion determines where is it . Ventral visual stream- this portion determines what is it . An inability to perceive color despite having a normally functioning eye. You can have damage to the brain area that processes color (black and white vision) Person can have all of their cones present, but the brain messes the process up. Ex: difficulty distinguishing food on plate, or inability to differentiate between live and dead vines. Show her an image of a flashlight, and she says it could be a kitchen utensil, but if she holds it or is asked to draw it she knows it is a flashlight. She is able to guide objs through space. Can"t match the lines and is unable to use visual information to guide her motions. Cannot pick an apple out of a lineup, but can draw one. Damaged dorsal or intact im pathway is the opposite; able to identify objs.
