If reason and will are neither reliable nor efficient in establishing human happiness. Kant believes you don"t do it because it makes you happy, you do it because it is morally right through reason and will. A good will is the only thing that i good without qualification. Must have a good will to truly enjoy ^ Having a good will is a condition for being worthy of happiness. Kant would say aristotle is right reason and will are important but it doesn"t lead to happiness it leads to good will. Kant"s definition: morality: the pure unconditional self- determination of a rational will. Pure a priori, kant believes that our fundamental moral obligations are known a piori. A posteriori knowledge- knowledge that is ultimately grounded in sense experience.
