Nature of victimization: victimization is not random, ecological factors, violent crimes are more likely to take place in three areas, open public area. In commercial establishments but especially at bars: most serious violent crimes take place after 6pm such as rape and assault. Middle city has higher rate of theft and violence than suburbs. 15% pop: 12-19 account for more than 30% of violent victimization.
