I"m going to the restaurant with maria: ellos van a la playa. The construction ir a + [infinitive] expresses actions that are going to happen in the future: equivalent to english expression to be going to + [infinitive]. Vamos a + [infinitive] can also express idea of let"s (cid:523)do something(cid:524): vamos a pasear let"s take a stroll, vamos a ver let"s see! Stem changing verbs: stressed out vowel of the stem changes when the verb is conjugated. Stem change conjugated form empez- volv- empiez- vuelv- empiezo vuelvo.
