Humans have always been curious about how the world around us. Science is really about testing observations in the natural world. Science has limits it can only address natural phenomena. As scientific knowledge accumulates over time, it can be modified. Science takes the approach of methodological naturalism: the idea that all events are based on natural causes. Using this approach we can test theories: example: How a bacterium causes disease in humans: science cannot prove, or disprove the supernatural world. The two cannot be approached in the same way. Early humans were hunger-gatherers: hunted animals, gathered these to survive: Faced many challenges an dangers: learned how to: Nomadic lifestyle: moved in search of: Development of tools led to: an ability to cultivate the land, grow food. The use of agricultural practices could sustain larger groups of people: formed communities, tasks could be shared, techniques were passed on to the next generation.
