As junior who has already taken a rhetoric & composition course at another institution, my understanding of organization did not change drastically while working on this assignment. I did, however, learn that in a rhetorical analysis piece you analyze the speaker"s words and actions in the present tense rather than in the past tense. I chose to write my rhetorical analysis in the third-person point of view. I was analyzing the rhetorical effectiveness of a speech in which the speaker, john f. kennedy, was communicating a message to groups in western and eastern germany.
