Dolphin id: bella: crooked rostrum, pink and yellow face and belly. Age: 18: dalai: youngest and smallest dolphin, big buggy eyes. Fiji: rake mark on left side of melon right above eye, light colored dorsal fin and body. Grace: lighter mark on rostrum, petite dolphin (small blowhole) Sarah: very dark, noticeable eyes (can see whites around the pupils), overall large. Squirt: trail of spots leading to blowhole, biggest dolphin, serrated fluke on left side. Tashi: smaller male, various rake marks, slight discoloration around eye. When performing a pe, heart rate will decrease (slow down) Sinus arrhythmia: irregular heartbeat that is either to fast or to slow. Hold transducer (probe) with dot towards the head and hold like a pencil. Gain- how bright something is (increasing the gain makes it darker on ultrasound) Depth- in cm, increasing the depth (bottom button) Hyperechoic: refers to structures that contain greater or stronger echoes than surrounding tissue (lighter)
