There are rules to film but you can break the rules if you have a reason (wanna be creative) Medium shot: not as close as a close up but still kinda close. Medium reaction shot: seeing her reaction to it. ***girl turns head and then cut to show what theyre looking at--> gives audience information*** That gives information about plot or emotion. ***pan and tilts used to reveal things to audience that they don"t normally know*** Tracking or dolly shot: when camera is moving but camera head is not dramatic angle to add some suspense side angle shot: brought mom into scene. Hand held (use sparingly bc shaky and will look bad if not effective) Walking shots (kinda like a dolly shot) (west wing) Showing how girl is upset through shots rather than saying it. Continuity - maintaining space and time continuum and cinematic illusion.
