Document Summary

The four themes of this class are: values, process, power, and timing. A person"s views about what is wrong or important in life. Collective conceptions of what is considered good, desirable, and proper (or bad, undesirable, and improper). They help predict what individuals do in areas like buying, parenting, and voting. They can be associated with important characteristics of whole societies. Protestants are people who value thrift, hard work, visual signs of success, money, and prosperity as being god"s children and are saved. Protestants are generally in the united kingdom and parts of germany. Catholics are located in spain, france, etc. This was written in the late 1800s, early 1900s, at the time of the industrial revolution, which began in england. The biggest ideas began to seem simple because countries where protestantism is prevalent are also countries who value hard work and prosperity, and are also countries who stated experiencing the industrial revolution first.
