If the entity is a computer, it tries to pretend to be a human being. A judge texts back and forth with a mystery entity. If it passes, is its behavior intelligent? experiences life. Behavior is the key to understanding the science behind cognition. No way to says exactly what it means. Can a person pretend to be a member of the opposite sex. You are the judge and th ere is a person on the other side and they are trying to be the opposite gender. You are judge and then mystery entity (could be a person of a computer) . You send texts to them and they send texts back to you (1935 over computer) intelligence is a type of behavior. What is means to be intelligent is to give intellig ent answers. If the mystery entity can simulate intelligence (trick you into being a person) then it isn"t simulation, it is actually intelligent.
