Mid 40s to late 50s do an assessment on if their lives are where they want it to be. A lot of people are content with where they are. Divorce, quitting jobs, buying cars are usually the correction. Looks at life as a being lived by you. In a sense it"s an identity construction where you create a life story. Usually having incidences which account for change. People are constantly building a story of why they are where they are. The story is reformulated as your life changes. Story contains all elements of a story since life is a bunch of big events that made a change in life. There"s a part where you make a plan: fits with classic identity of erikson. You make a decision which is planning for your future. Not everything goes according to plan and you adjust according to life"s changes. People choose careers that fit their work personality.
