Secondary emotions are composed of combinations of primary emotions. Being professional when your boss gives you a promotion. Pretending to like a present that you do not like. Inhibition : showing no emotion even when you are feeling it. Masking : feeling an emotion, but not showing it. Brains react to emoticons the same as real faces. People tend to mimic the experiences and expressions of others. Ex. crossing your arms, raising your voice. Occurs in both face-to-face and online settings. Agreeableness: someone who avoids confrontation and agrees with people for the same of keeping everything smooth; experience less negative emotion emotion and less likely to take on other people"s emotions. Extroversion: enjoy being around other people; experience more positive. Neuroticism: tend to question oneself and ruminate over and over.
