Bodily response = body & brain preparing to do something flight or fight response. Chronic stress: enduring arousal, continuing over time. Ppl who are targets of prejudice = victims of chronic stress. Alarm reaction resistance (how much can you resist stress?) Social support: talk about something you would like to change about yourself . Conflict: discuss & try to resolve one/two marital issues that are conflictual. Experiment considers both long term hostility & situational hostility.
