Woman in africa didn"t get hiv care because transportation was too expensive. Woman gave informed consent but did not know what would happen to her, left to take care of herself after research was done. Many studies done in poor countries could never be done in developed countries. Research is easier to do in africa because 70% of hiv cases are in africa and large poor population - more people desperate for free care.
