In our first lab we will learn how to use the ist-s-students environment, insure your account is working, and make you aware of the options available to you for remote connectivity. By the time the lab is complete you should be able to: Get your account and change your password on ist-s-students. Understand your remote access options so you are not dependent on our physical lab space to complete coursework. Your instructor created your ist-s-students (ist students for short) account prior to the start of our course. If you only recently added the class your account may not be available yet. It happens automatically, so if you don"t see it within 24 hrs of adding the course please put in a help desk ticket with the ischool. The ist students server is a web and database-hosting environment. If you"re taking a web design, programming or database courses from the ischool, there"s a good chance you"ll use this service.
